Did you know...?

Many people on the famous RMS Titanic reportedly encountered some sense of danger before boarding the ship. Everything from premonitions to just a strange feeling has been rumoured to occur! To read a few examples of these forebodings, click the "Read More" below.

Joseph Scarrott was a Belfast native, born in 1878, who signed onto the Titanic's staff on the sixth of April (6 April, 1912). When interviewed after the accident, Scarrott said that "the signing on felt like a dream". Furthermore, when he informed his sister of his signing on, she scolded him. This scolding, he said, was supposedly what gave him the feeling of dread; never before had his sister been known to scold him for enlisting as crew on any other ship, he claimed.

Mr Edward W Bell also felt a strange sense of impending doom. He and his wife rescheduled last minute, opting to instead ride the Mauretania.
