The infamous RSS Titanic was build and designed at the Harland&Wolff Shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The ship —known for its luxurious grandeur, size, and supposed durability— boasted a length of about 269 metres (equal to roughly 882 feet and nine [9] inches) and a width of just over twenty-eight [28] metres (roughly the equivalent of 92 feet). Titanic also featured three propellers driven by steam engines. These steam engines were powered by twenty-nine [29] boilers (twenty five were double-headed, four single-headed); all of the boilers were fuelled by the flames of a whopping 159 coal furnaces. Theoretically, this meant that the RSS Titanic could have reached a top speed of roughly twenty-three [23] knots. {This information was gathered through careful research, via Encyclopaedia Titanica.
